From our partners at League of Women Voters:
To help voters with disabilities cast a ballot, the League is sponsoring a statewide Zoom webinar on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9 to 10 am.
“The League of Women Voters has been dedicated to ensuring the right to vote among all people regardless of disabilities,” says LWVMO President Marilyn McLeod. “We hope this webinar helps anyone interested in disability rights learn more about curbside voting and other reasonable accommodations.”
What to Expect:
This webinar will focus on general Missouri voting information as well as information of specific interest to voters with disabilities.
Time permitting, plain language descriptions of the ballot measures on the Nov. 5 election will be presented.
After the presentation, there will be a question-and-answer session.
The Zoom webinar will have an ASL interpreter and captioner from MT & Associates.
How to prepare:
Any special accommodation requests should be included with your registration and submitted by Sept. 7.
The League encourages members to host a Zoom party for friends and neighbors in the disabled community.
