Sara Ruiz, Executive Director of the Ashrei Foundation, will update us on the work of the Missouri State ID Access Coalition. After H.B. 1878 took effect in 2022, requiring Missouri voters to show a photo ID issued by the state or federal government, the Ashrei Foundation joined St. Francis Xavier College Church to support ID Access. Ashrei started a program targeted to St. Louis City and now co-facilitates the coalition.

In 2023, this partnership led to multi-year funding from the Missouri Foundation for Health. The goals include 1) expanding ID access programs statewide, 2) strengthening the existing statewide coalition, and 3) developing and leading evidence-informed and community-led advocacy efforts for programs, laws and policies to eliminate inequities in ID access.
