Clinic escorts provide those walking into clinics - whether patients, companions, or staff - with a physical sense of security and a welcoming presence from the moment they exit their vehicle.
In the post-Roe world, Clinic Escorts are more important than ever; people are traveling from around the country to our two partner clinics in Southern Illinois to access abortions. People traveling from states like Missouri where abortion is banned have already faced countless barriers by the time they arrive at the clinic. When they come around the corner after driving for hours or days and are faced by hostile and aggressive anti-abortion protestors, Pro-Choice Missouri Clinic Escorts are the welcoming presence to ensure they get to their abortion care.
The Pro-Choice Missouri Clinic Escort program works to ensure everyone visiting regional clinics for abortion access has someone to walk with them to receive the critical care they deserve. We need you! To learn more about how to become a Clinic Escort, join our information session on March 9th at 6PM for an introduction to our escort program. Participation in the Clinic Escort information session is required before potential volunteers can register for a clinic escort training.
