NAACP 87th Annual Freedom Fund

Check out this message from the NAACP of St. Louis County:

Friends,

The leadership of the St. Louis County NAACP takes great pride in the history of our organization and the continued work we do for our community. As one of the oldest branches in the state of Missouri, we have taken part in many of the great Civil Rights victories our nation has seen. The St. Louis County NAACP branch is also one of the largest in the state, representing a population of nearly a quarter million African Americans in our community.

From our work during the pandemic providing food for thousands, educating the community on vaccine hesitancy, expanding our reach to education and workforce training, successes in environmental justice that have led to cleaner drinking water in our schools, to providing Ring doorbells in neighborhoods with high concentrations of crime, our branch shows up to serve in times of need.

This year our branch will also be hard at work registering folks to vote across St. Louis County.

We are proud of the work we have done and continue to do in our community. And it is our annual fundraising effort, our Freedom Fund Dinner, that allows us to bring together stakeholders from across the region to raise funds for the important work we do.

I am pleased to announce our 87th Annual Freedom Fund Dinner will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at the Marriott St. Louis Airport. This event not only helps raise funds but is an important part in our community’s fellowship, celebrating the work done by so many.

We would be humbled to have your partnership in 2024 in raising up our community together.

Please save the date for what will be a memorable event. Look out for more information on our keynote speaker and for ticket sales to go live soon!

In Solidarity,

John Bowman
