The Ashrei Foundation is pleased to partner with ProgressWomen to offer an in-person, action-filled event called DEMOCRACY 101 (formerly known as ProgressWomen’s popular #GOV101 series, now in Season 5).

This event will include a primer with inside secrets of the Missouri State Legislature, led by the Hon. Stacey Newman of ProgressWomen. Plus, we’ll have a panel of dynamic speakers to discuss bills we need to be prepared to act on in this session, including: Rabbi Daniel Bogard (Central Reform Congregation), Heather Fleming (Missouri Equity Education Partnership), Denise Lieberman (Missouri Voter Protection Coalition) and Sara Ruiz (Ashrei Foundation).
Participants will walk away with everything they need to know to do your part to block attacks on public school curriculum, book bans, attacks on transgender kids, and limiting access to democracy.
